Lynsey loves to...
swing (all time favorite right now), be outside (a lifesaver after dinner and before bedtime), play in the rain, hold any real phone, hold her stuffed grover and big bird.

4 year old accomplishments
4 year old accomplishments:
Ann learned to float on her own in the big pool with her floaty jacket and a noodle. That made swimming much more fun.
Ann had her 4 yr checkup at the doctor this week. I left Lynsey at home with Caleb so that I could hold Ann for her 4 shots! After that torture I took her to get ice cream.
Ann no longer gets a pop-ice every time she poo-poos. She took the news really well (I thought it would be hard to break that reward). And she is learning to wipe her own poo-poos. One less dirty butt for me to wipe. :)
We went to orientation tonight for the Pre-K class she will be going to. Florida offers all kids pre-k for free. Starting Monday, Ann will go to school M-F from 8:30 - 11:30. I'm so thankful the church/school is only 5 min from our house. On our way there tonight she said, "I"m so nervous"... but I think she was more excited than nervous.
For other mommies out there... I had been struggling with Ann's naptime. She would go 4-5 days with no nap and be really whiney by dinner time. The 6th day she would crash in the afternoon for 2-3 hours and be up until 10:30 at night. So I started sending her to bed for naptime with a timer. This has been a lifesaver. She stays in bed for 25 min until the timer goes off and most days she falls asleep. When I hear the timer - I go in and wake her up. This short nap prevents most meltdowns at the dinner table and she is still tired enough to fall asleep by 8:30. Naptime problem solved for now!
Logan had an early birthday party because their family will be out of town during his b-day. It was a really fun morning/lunch. Logan is really into horses. The kids are usually jealous of the turtle floaty that Lynsey rides in the pool. So while I was looking for something for Logan - I found a blue donkey (or horse) for 3-5 year olds. He loved it. Kristie said - "thanks to Stacy, my son will never learn to swim now." :)

Bikes, babes and beach
![]() |
| From bikes, walking, beach |
I took Lynsey for her first bike ride in the neighborhood. She loved it. It was a slow ride as we followed Ann on her trike. We found a medium sized, big girl bike that a neighbor put out on the curb for trash. So we picked it up and it's waiting for Grandpa to come fix it up with new tires and training wheels. I think it will be just the right size for Ann in about 6 months.

Lynsey's walking is coming along. She is walking a lot more now days. Although she still loves to be held (a lot). I think she has several molars coming in at once. Ouch.

We went to the beach with some friends today. We were on the intercoastal and saw this ice cream boat. We thought that would be a fun job. :)
