Lynsey has graduated from her beloved bouncer to this exer' car saucer. She really liked the exersaucer at preschool nursery this morning, so I dug out our car saucer walker thing. I'm hoping this will provide at least a half hour of entertainment every so often for both of them.

Ann and Lynsey
Ann has been asking to hold Lynsey often lately.
Lynsey is holding her own.

Ann learning about Thanksgiving at school. They dressed up as Indians.

I put this sleeper on Lynsey, but somehow, I don't think this will fit by the time Christmas rolls around.

Sydney's 4 year old birthday party. Rodd and a friend were up till 5:30 in the morning putting together the maze behind them. A labor of love!

Lynsey has been getting ahold of her feet.

Uncertain wealth
I am working on a 'Thanksgiving Report' for a local church. Below is one of the verses they want to use... I thought the verse was a good reminder of where we should put our hope. Especially these days when it's so easy to worry about finances and the economy.
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 1 Timothy 6:17 (NIV)

Indiana Trip
We just got back from Indiana. It was a nice break from the norm. We saw family, lots of farm animals, leaves and soft grass. Below are some of the highlights. There are lots more photos in the 'picasa' photo album if you click on the photos.
Great Grandpa Yoder with the girls

Ann going fishing off Grandma and Grandpa's pier

Lynsey was there too

We had dinner with my cousin Laura and her family

Alyssa (Ann's second cousin) came over the next day to play in the leaves

The girls with Grandma and Grandpa

Marty (my brother) with the girls

On the way home...

Baby bath time
Lynsey SCREAMS during the entire bath. I guess she doesn't like them. Maybe because I only get around to bathing her about twice a week?

Princess Party
Sydney's cousin, Madison, turned 4 years old. She invited Ann to her Princess Party on Saturday. Ann loved every minute... from getting dressed up as snow white to swinging on the tire swing. As we left she said, "Mommy, I had SO much fun today."

Madison is the princess in blue. And the boys came as pirates.

Shirt Model
This shirt has been hanging in Ann's closet for a while. This morning it caught her eye and she wanted to wear it. My Aunt Judy got this shirt and another one while she was in Africa for me to wear when I was a little girl. Thanks to my mom saving them - Ann can now enjoy them. She's got several poses for you if you go to the gallery (by clicking on the photo).

Smiling
Lynsey started smiling about a week ago (keep the volume low - Ann is yelling in the background).

First week of Preschool
This week has been the first week of Preschool. On Saturday, I had orientation at the church where they hold the preschool since it's a Co-op and I will be helping about once a month (which also makes it more affordable). Caleb did a great job looking after the girls while I was gone for 3 hours.
On Wednesday we all went to the Preschool/Open House day for a short half hour to meet the Teacher - Mrs. Tamez. The class theme is Believer Bears. There are 10 kids in her class. The class is just two mornings a week.
They got to decorate a sheet of paper that morning with stickers and markers that will be used for their 'cubby' where they put their backpack. Each child has a color and Ann's is blue for the year.
Mrs. Tamez sent us home with Ann's first 'homework' assignment. We had to take a paper bear and put some kind of texture on him. We glued striped fabric to the bear Thursday morning...

Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy, he was stripy! That is part of the poem on the back.

Today is her first full morning of school by herself. I took this video... she was pretty excited.
Kristie, my carpool partner, came to get Ann this morning.

Syndey and Ann in the car

Walking in...

Kristie sent me this report when she returned this morning:
"They were SO cute this morning. Outside the classroom had all this stuff set up for a bear hunt. They were both so excited and both ran into the classroom. They were the first ones there and I saw playdough set up on the table—so they put their backpacks in their cubbys, showed the teacher their bears, and they were off on their great adventure."
I can't wait to take them next week!
